Alex and Stephanie were super amazing and everyone else 12/10, truly it was a great team effort to make my birthday a pleasant one. I’m happy I got to spend my time here with my lovely colleagues. Phenomenal!!! . First I need to mention their menu has LOTS of Gluten free options. Not like most places where they offer only a couple. So my fiancee had a lot of choices. Its a nice place but you can dress casual. We went around 6pm on a Friday in March and it wasn't busy. Staff is very friendly. Menu is on a tablet which is nice. I have nothing bad to say about this place. Oh and street parking is free, there's a garage right by but I dont know if thats free. . . If I come to new Rochelle again I would come back to this restaurant.
We came down from Connecticut to celebrate my dad’s birthday and decided to try 179 Bar and Grill after seeing its amazing reviews. After an exciting axe-throwing session, we arrived super hungry and were warmly greeted upon entry. The digital menus (iPads) made browsing easy, and they also had enticing specials. My mom, dad, and sister enjoyed cocktails, and they did not disappoint. My mom absolutely loved her lemon drop, and my dad raved about his passionfruit mojito. The appetizers set the bar high. We had the calamari, fig and cheese flatbread, and fried clams—each one outstanding. The calamari, in particular, was unforgettable—perfectly fresh, lightly breaded, and seasoned to perfection. It was so flavorful that the accompanying sauce was almost unnecessary. The flatbread was another highlight, with its delicious flavor combination making every bite a delight. For entrées, we were equally impressed. We tried the chicken Caprese, pork shank, octopus, and Mediterranean Branzino—each dish was cooked to perfection and packed with incredible flavor. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely be returning. I highly recommend 179 Bar and Grill to anyone looking for a fantastic meal and great atmosphere!

The food was great. I had a Kobe burger and it was amazing. The apple tacos was fabulous. The service was excellent. The wait staff was very patient. We had a large group so I know it was challenging. But they did a great job and it was no problem to get separate bills. I definitely recommend this place and will be returning.
The food was delicious, the service was excellent and beyond amazing, the ambience and atmosphere was spectacular. Lopez was our waiter and he was great! At the time there was a shift change and he was by himself for quite some time but he was doing it all, he was serving and he was bartending and he did everything with a smile. My family and I had a wonderful first time experience together there. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. 10 out of 10!
One of my girlfriends and I met up for brunch at this restaurant. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. When I walked in, I was greeted. We were sat and served by Gustavo. The place was nice. I ordered: Espresso Martini Vodka Martini Good Morning Good night mocktail Mussels shrimp dumpling Branzino Chicken Marsala Tirimisu Apple tacos The food was so good with my favorite being the mussels! I had an excellent time!
It's a small restaurant with some outdoor seating. I went on a weeknight evening and parking was not a problem. The restaurant was not full but there was a steady flow of diners coming and going. Ordered the prix fixed menu and I was not disappointed. The options were great and the food was delicious. Every single thing was delicious. The servers were attentive, professional and kind. The food came out in a timely manner. The drinks were strong and generous. The menu identifies gluten free options. I am so glad I gave this restaurant a try.
